Our client is a leading international, wholesale company and subsidiary of a European Group. The current turnover is approx. 300mio and the company is growing organically and through various strategic collaborations. The finance department plays a key role in scaling and professionalizing the back office to facilitate the next phase of international growth: from its systems and processes up until the business- & financial analyses and management reports. You will work in a young, ambitious and international environment, where you and your accounting team will make a lot of impact and drive continuous improvement.
The job profile
The Manager Accounting is a key position within the organization. You will act as the right hand of the CFO and will be responsible for establishing and leading a fit for purpose all-round finance function with solid control frameworks in place.
In this role, you will lead 2 teams: the Accounting team (4 fte) and the Credit Control team (4 fte). There is a need for professionalization due to the complexity of the ongoing international growth. Challenging your team and bringing team members to a higher level is essential to become ready for the future. This requires leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver through high-performing teams whilst earning and maintaining the trust of the business in a changing environment. The efficient accounting and month end procedures will help chart the course of the business' growth and ensure the standing as a leader in the industry.

The ideal candidate
- Completed higher degree at a university of applied sciences (HBO) or university (WO) level in a Finance-related discipline (e.g. Business Administration or Accountancy and Control);
- At least 8 years of work experience, preferably within the production, retail/ wholesale and/or supply chain/logistics industry;
- Demonstrable experience with leading international/ multicultural teams. Strong people management skills to align, coach and direct various teams with cultural and intellectual difference;
- Strong analytical skills, able to quickly fathom a complex operations within an international, matrix organization;
- Decisive visionary, able to analyse risks and opportunities of current processes and systems and able to implement improvements and lead changes;
- Excellent communication skills in English. Other languages are a plus.
