HFM Solutions is an international operating industrial group specialized in hot forging of metal components. The group consists of two specialized business units: Allbrass and Aluforge, with production locations in the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. Across its facilities, the group focuses on forging and machining two main alloy families: brass and aluminum.
- Aluforge, with production sites in Germany and Hungary, has increasingly specialized as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier to the automotive industry, producing high precision aluminum forged components for demanding applications.
- Allbrass, based in Borne, the Netherlands, focuses on brass forging and machining and serves a broad range of industrial markets, including automotive, sanitary, power management, heating and cooling, and valve technology.
Across its companies, HFM Solutions has built extensive experience in these markets and combines strong product and process engineering capabilities with efficient manufacturing. The organizations focus on producing high quality components in a cost-efficient way, with zero defects as a key objective.
HFM Solutions, headquartered in Borne, acts as the holding company supporting the two operating businesses in realizing sustainable growth and further professionalization. Together the revenues of the group are approximately €70 million spread evenly between the two businesses. The group employs approximately 300 people. Since 2019, the shares of the company have been held by Bencis Capital Partners, which supports the company’s continued development and growth.
The job profile
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial finance professional who is looking to play a key role in the development of an international industrial group in a private equity-backed environment. As Group Finance Director at HFM Solutions, you act as the financial right hand of the CEO, Ron Blokzijl, and contribute directly to the strategic development and value creation of the business.
The group structure is deliberately lean, consisting at holding level primarily of the CEO and the Group Finance Director. In this role, you act as the financial counterpart to the CEO and oversee finance across the operating companies
Key responsibilities:
- Financial right hand and sparring partner to the CEO
- Coordinate and guide the finance teams across the operating companies
- Own group reporting, consolidation and financial governance
- Oversee liquidity management, cash flow planning and factoring structures
- Responsible for statutory accounts, annual report and tax compliance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI-driven performance management
- Develop the finance teams and strengthen the business control function
- Translate financial data into strategic insights and decision support
- Support strategic initiatives, operational improvements and potential M&A opportunities
- Managing financing activities across the two operating companies
- Prepare the organization for a future exit process of the two operating companies
The ideal candidate
You are an ambitious and entrepreneurial finance professional who combines a strong technical finance foundation with a clear business mindset. You enjoy operating close to management and translating financial data into insights that drive performance and decision making.
Background and experience:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics
- RA or RC qualification is a strong plus
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining Big 4 and accounting experience in a PE-backed production organization
- Experience with group reporting, consolidation and year-end closing in a multi-entity environment
- Ability to translate financial data into performance insights and decision support
- Experience in professionalizing reporting, KPI steering and financial processes
- Strong analytical, communication and (internal & external) stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English and German
