The job profile

The Finance function at Broekman Logistics is evolving from a traditional reporting and consolidation role into a proactive, strategic business partner. Finance delivers accurate accounting and high-quality reporting, while also providing insights to support decision-making, strategy, and execution. Key objectives include harmonization, process optimization, and digitalization across accounting, reporting, and business control.

As the new Group Controller within the Finance department, you combine financial expertise with a strong affinity for information provision and financial applications. There is significant room for automation and innovation within the Finance organization. In addition to ensuring a robust and reliable accounting and reporting cycle, you will take the lead in establishing a strong performance management framework and shaping a more forward-looking Finance function. The ideal candidate has a strong affinity with IT, leverages systems to drive efficiency and insight, and takes initiative in applying AI.

The ideal candidate

You are a driven and structured finance professional with a strong technical accounting foundation, able to bring clarity to complexity and take ownership of delivering reliable, high quality group reporting. You not only enjoy being in control of the numbers, but also continuously seek to improve how those numbers are produced.

Tech savvy by nature, you are always looking for smarter ways of working—faster, more automated, and more standardized. You are not satisfied with the status quo if things can be done better. At the same time, you combine technical depth with the ability to communicate clearly and decisively at a senior level.

You bring:

  • A completed Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; RA or RC qualification is a strong plus
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, including experience in group control, consolidation or external reporting, preferably within an international and multi entity environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English and Dutch are essential
