The job profile

The Finance Director is responsible for Finance and IT at FYEO Netherlands, acting as both a strategic sparring partner and driving further professionalization, while reporting to the Country Director and Group CFO. The role sits in a transition phase, balancing increased structure and IFRS-driven standardization with the entrepreneurial and fast-paced nature of the business. A key focus is building integrated performance insights through improved reporting, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making across clinics and regions. Additionally, the role leads digitalization and system improvements while strengthening the finance team and supporting strategic growth and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for Finance and IT within FYEO Netherlands 
  • Strategic sparring partner to the Country Director and Management Team
  • Development and execution of the financial strategy 
  • Responsibility for reporting, cash flow, working capital, and audit 
  • Implementation and embedding of IFRS within the organization 
  • Building data-driven performance management and KPI structures 
  • Increasing insight into cost structures, margins, and operational performance 
  • Leading and further developing Finance and IT teams 
  • Initiating and leading digitalization and IT projects 
  • Optimizing systems, processes, and data architecture 
  • Managing stakeholders, including group, auditors, and external partners

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, we are looking for a Finance Director who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and is energized by building structure and developing a future-proof finance function. You bring a strong and broad financial foundation, combined with experience in environments where growth, change, and complexity come together. You understand how accounting, control, and business partnering interact, and know how to translate this into a pragmatic and effective setup.

You are able to move seamlessly between strategy and operations: thinking at a high-level while being willing to dive into the details when needed. At the same time, you are strongly business-oriented and use finance as a tool to drive performance and decision-making.You are analytically sharp and able to quickly grasp complex topics, but equally important is your ability to engage stakeholders and drive change across the organization.

What you bring:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting (RA/RC is a plus)
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including several years in an end-responsible role
  • Experience in multi-entity and international environments
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS (required)
  • Experience with process improvement and system implementation
  • Affinity with digitalization and data-driven ways of working
  • Experience in a commercial or dynamic sector (e.g. healthcare, retail, hospitality, or scale-ups)
  • Fluent in Dutch and strong proficiency in English, both verbal and written
