- Anaerobic wastewater treatment;

The job profile
Over recent years, rapid growth has given the company a very strong, global position. However, the market is very competitive and is going through an important transition where customers increasingly demand complete instead of single solutions. Our client needs to adapt to these changing trend by making important changes in the business model: from technology development, where the company has its roots, to contracting.
As the new CFO, you are at the forefront of this transition and, together with the CEO, you will form the statutory board. You manage a large, international team within the different regions (approximately 40 fte). Besides Finance (Business/Financial Control, Project Control) you are responsible for Strategy and M&A, IT, Tax, Legal & Compliance and Procurement. You have a broad business role and steer the company, with the CEO and the other Management Team members, towards future success.

The ideal candidate
The ideal CFO candidate is a business-oriented self-starter who combines analytical skills and judgement, while working with the highest degree of integrity. You are an experience Finance Leader with a proven track record and at least 10 years of relevant leadership experience in international or multinational organizations. You feel very comfortable in a complex, global company and have very strong interpersonal skills.
You are intelligent, a critical thinker who likes to create a fact-based and transparent decision process. You bring overview, structure, discipline, peace and clarity. You are very curious, want to understand things properly, challenges the MT and the organization. You are an inspirational and empathetic personality, facilitating growth while enhancing financial stewardship, compliance and performance. You are foremost a well-balanced person with drive, energy and a good sense of humour.
- Completed Master’s degree in Economics/Business Administration or and/or postdoc (RA/RC);
- Solid stakeholder management skills as a statutory CFO (i.e. Shareholders, Supervisory Board);
- Experience with M&A, Treasury, Tax is a plus;
- Experience managing a remote and culturally diverse team;
- Knowledge of international ways of working, understanding business and projects in different cultures. Able to adapt the approach, plans, strategies and processes accordingly.
