Additionally, the company owns a 100% subsidiary in the United States, focused on operational cleaning services, including management. This subsidiary employs approximately 60 colleagues. The organization is poised for its next phase of substantial revenue growth and further professionalization. This growth will be driven by expanding its footprint in existing markets, deepening relationships with current clients, and further professionalizing its operations to deliver even greater value to its partners. The job profile

As the CFO and statutory director, you will act as the key strategic partner to the CEO, as well as to the executive team and the management of its subsidiaries, in both domestic and international markets. The CFO has an autonomous responsibility towards the shareholders and, although there is a direct reporting line to the CEO, can and should act independently in such a way that the interests of the company and shareholders are ensured. Your responsibilities will encompass the full scope of the financial function, including strategic planning and control, tax, treasury and risk management, the provision of actionable management information, legal oversight, and ICT governance.

  • It is important that the new CFO has a clear vision on how to develop and implement financial strategies, to promote digitalization and the application of AI within financial processes, and how to manage the company's overall financial health. It is therefore vital that the CFO takes initiative and can work independently on improvement and innovation topics.
  • You will oversee the entire back-office function, ensuring structure and efficiency while taking an active role in preparing leadership and shareholder meetings. This position demands a combination of supportive leadership for directors and decisive, directive guidance for the CEO, leadership team, and colleagues. As the financial conscience of the organization, you will provide critical advice both solicited and unsolicited—to support tactical and strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will share business accountability with the CEO in driving operational performance and sales growth.

"Your global strategic facility management agent"

The ideal candidate

As the new CFO, you will bring an inspirational and empathetic personality to the role. You are a business enabler and challenger, supporting growth while driving financial stewardship, transparency, and performance management. Above all, you are a well-balanced and approachable individual with energy, determination, and a good sense of humor. You will serve as a strategic thinker, co-creator and connector, bridging the various entities within the group. Utilizing your financial expertise, you will share responsibility for driving the organization’s international growth strategy, striking the right balance between strategic vision and tactical execution. Given the dynamic nature and growth ambitions of HFC Group, the CFO must be highly business-oriented with a deep understanding of market dynamics. The ideal candidate will effectively balance operational decisiveness, hands-on entrepreneurship, and a structured, policy-driven approach. You should possess strong conceptual skills, maintaining a holistic view while being detail-oriented. With excellent communication abilities, you will clearly articulate complex matters and provide vision-based arguments, always prioritizing the group's interests over individual or subsidiary concerns.

  • Academic-level thinking and working proficiency, with a background in business economics or holding an RA/RC qualification;
  • Experience in a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial and international operating organization;
  • Solid experience in a comparable position with statutory responsibility;
  • Strong understanding of core business processes and experience with ERP systems and reporting tools;
  • Experience in a facilities-based business-to-business environment or a highly labor-intensive organization is a plus;
  • Experience with private equity and/or family-owned shareholders is an advantage;
  • Affinity for and experience in developing a "modern" finance function;
  • Fluent in English (written and oral), proficient in Dutch and/or German.
