Our client is a very fast growing provider of training and outsourced IT recruitment services. The company is backed by a private equity firm and has the ambition to become the leading player in the European market. Based on delivering high quality services and talent to their clients, the company wants to double the size in the core Dutch market in the next 4 years. In addition, there are advanced plans to expand into Germany and the US. We are looking for a senior FP&A lead to join the existing finance team on their next stage of growth and help to support scaling of the business. This growth will predominantly be organic.


Senior FP&A lead position

The Senior FP&A lead position is a newly created role and will develop in a future management role together with the growth agenda of the company. Main tasks & responsibilities:  

  • Direct report to CFO
  • No team to lead/manage in the short-term at least
  • Work/interact directly with Finance Manager, SMT and heads of other departments
  • Possibly some interaction with PE firm on a need basis
  • Build a detailed and insightful management information & reporting framework
  • Act as a Finance business partner to other departments
  • Prepare monthly Board reports with input from other departments
  • Agree, define and track financial, commercial, operational and organizational KPI’s
  • Lead and deliver the annual budget and mid-term plan (in conjunction with the management team)
  • Lead and deliver quarterly financial year reforecasts
  • Prepare weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts
  • Ad hoc analysis and involvement in key projects


Ideal candidate profile

  • Academic degree in accounting or business economics, ideally with a post graduate degree (RA, RC) or nearly;
  • Solid financial/management accounting training & experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • You need to be self-sufficient, self-starting
  • Advanced financial modelling, analytical and MS Office skills
  • Hands-on and proactive
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues at all levels in the company
  • Resilient, flexible can-do attitude
  • Fluent English
  • PE exposure preferable
